1) Realise that this isn't just a change you'll be making for a few weeks/months, this is a lifestyle change! Rewire your thinking, stick to eating only natural sugars, eventually any other sugar will taste like plastic!
2) The biggest weight loss secret is no secret at all, we just ignore it because we want the easy way out! It's simple, eat more fruit and vegetables, less of the other crap. Do stuff, be on your feet more, take up a hobby that means you need to walk more, never underestimate walking as an exercise!
3) Eat less
On the internet people love to glorify greed, you see these posts 'real Women have curves', 'real Men like meat'.. Are you serious internet! Promoting this careless attitude towards healthy eating is detrimental to all. The truth is we're all real people and we should stop letting these silly people tell us how to think, just be whatever size is your healthiest.
4) Consider taking up an exercise you will stick to
Joining the gym is great, and I recommend you do it, it’s helped
me for sure. However, for a faster weight loss you may want to consider taking
up an exercising hobby that’s more accessible. For example, cycling. Cycling
changed my life in MANY positive ways, however that’s another post for another
time!
5) Visualize
Meditating before you sleep is a great way of shutting down, and
reflecting on the day in a calm and relaxing way, instead of letting those
thoughts race through your head when it’s time to sleep. I recommend everyone
take this time to be silent, no phone, no internet. Just spend some time with
yourself, in this time you can think about yourself at your goal weight. How
light you will feel and how strong you
will be.
6) Be enthusiastic
This change is good, it might just be the best thing you’ll ever
do for your health, so be enthusiastic. It’s not easy for the first few days but it gets better and better!
7) Take it slow
Anything that makes you drop weight fast is bad for you, which
brings me back to my original point, all these fad diets don’t work, because
once they’re over what’s going to happen then? You haven’t trained yourself to
eat less, and you’ll just put it all back on. So again, this is a lifestyle
change, a diet is for life not just for Christmas, and all that jazz.
Hope this helped you guys, good luck!
